We produced a video series 《老許糖尿生活問答室》, featuring Mr. Michael Hui, a famous actor and decade-long diabetes patient, and Dr. Steve Chung Chi Tung. The video series include 3 online videos that address common concerns about diabetes. They are “About Risk” (風險篇), “About diet” (飲食篇) and “About exercise” (運動篇).

Diabetes is one of the most common chronic disease in Hong Kong, every one out of ten Hong Kong people is diagnosed, but the good news is that diabetes is manageable with the help from healthcare professionals and by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. So, our campaign objective is to educate patients about practical diabetes management tips, and encourage them to proactively control diabetes.
We deliver our message effectively by making our videos relatable and engaging. The videos hook viewers by asking patient’s most concerned questions through a street interview, and continue to grab viewers’ attention by slipping in some dramatized and interesting responses from our interviewees. The street interview is followed by discussion between Mr. Michael Hui and Dr. Chung, with an aim to correct common misconception about diabetes management, and guide our viewers to discover a truly healthy lifestyle that is suitable for diabetes patients. With Mr. Michael Hui’s signature comedic style and Dr. Chung’s professional advices, altogether succeeded in making our videos informative and entertaining.
